This is the whole podcast in its entirety. I decided to put the whole podcast in its entirety because, someone might want to listen to the podcast while driving or doing a long task that may make it not so easy to reach for your smart phone or audio playing device every 30 minutes. Shanon Brooks owns a college called Monticello college in Monticello Utah which is near the 4 corners area Shanon Brooks was on the bord of George Wythe College. We discussed what George College was and how Monticello College is a continuation of what George Wythe college was and should have been. Noji was my guest again on the podcast. I got a lot of comments that I should get a little bit more in to the technical side of Ham Radio. So, we did. We discussed how to build a Ham Radio Station, and instructions on grounding your Antenna. This prevents lightening from striking your Antenna, coming down your coax, and completely destroying your Radio. We discussed how to get todays youth, and young adults interested in Ham Radio. I would like to thank Suzanne C Sherman for recommending to me Brian Duff the first guest for 2022. Brian has a site called Mind4survival. There is an abundant of information on his site. We only covered the surface. Brian and I discussed what is prepping. It isn’t just prepping for beans, bullets, beans, and I would add rice. There is definitely an emotional aspect to prepping. You could even argue that there is a spiritual side of prepping as well. We briefly discussed a person named Shelby Gallagher who cohost a podcast called Prepping2.0. Brian and I also talked water, food, and avoiding fake news. I am confident you will enjoy this podcast.

This is a 2-part episode. I interviewed a person named Phil Gleason. Unfortunately, my Microphone somehow became distorted after I did the podcast. This means 2 things. First, you will not be able to hear me tell you when part 1 of the podcast is over. You will hear the outro on part 1 of the podcast. However, it will sound be abrupt. Again, this is because I could not come in at the end of the podcast and tell you that this is the end of the podcast. The second thing this means, is you may not hear from me in a while because I need to get a new Microphone.

I found this podcast very enlightening. Phil Gleason has a self-reliant community in Central Utah near Delta. On the podcast, I tell you what this self-reliant community is not and what it is. We also discussed how Phil Gleason got started in this venture. For lake of a better term. It sounded like this community is a utopian area. That is not a bad thing in this case. Shannon and I heard a presentation given by a professor named Frank Mitloener at the University of California Davis. He gave a presentation at the Farm Bureau of South Dakoda. Se, we talked about how a person can be a client of hers. Once a person becomes her client, we then discuss what happens next. You get on a waiting list when a puppy becomes available. We discussed effective ways to train a dog. I asked Natalie if training a dog is a lot like parenting. She laughed and said “Yes.” Natalie and I then talked about how she moved from Southern California to Montana to become a Homesteader/Prepper/Breeder/consultant. I then asked her what she likes about being a homesteader/prepper. Then I asked her what is a good gun for preppers to use.

Today I interviewed Kendall Whiting. We discussed his company Life Saving Food. He is a wholesaler for ReadyWise which is another food storage company. We discussed how Kendall got in to the food storage business. We also discussed some of the Kits he sales, storing water, and why ReadyWise might be a better brand to perches from instead of other brands.

Welcome to a brand-new podcast. Canning+7. This is the podcast where we discuss canning, other ways of food storage, prepping, gardening, farming, ranching, homesteading, and occasionally politics. On this debut of Canning+7 I interviewed Suzanne C Sherman. Suzanne Sherman has 2 podcasts. One is the Wasatch Report, and most likely perhaps her more well-known podcast The Red Hot Chilly Prepper. We started off the podcast briefly discussing my radio career and now I am doing Canning+7. Then we talked about how Suzanne became a prepper. Then we discussed are preppers selfish. The answer is no. However, there are some smart ways to prepare so you don’t panic or become a hoarder. During our conversation we also mentioned prepping isn’t just food storage. Prepping can be things such as how to communicate when the cell towers go down. Or, what would happen if you had a satellite phone and the satellites were knocked out of the atmosphere. Therefor, your satellite phone wouldn’t work? We also had a conversation on how to get people who aren’t interested in prepping. Suzanne and I have different methods each of us would use.
